Our Shared Service Center was established in 2005. Our colleagues work here in five main areas: people in Order Management, Data Integrity, the Phone Team dealing with calls by customers, the Quotation Team preparing price quotations for customers, and the staff members of Travel Team share an office.
The SC, as the colleagues call it, already celebrated its 12th birthday this year. Over the course of the past decade, it has gone through significant development. The group, which started with only seven staff members, has more than 100 colleagues, and provides support to customers in nearly 20 countries from Spain through Switzerland to Austria.
Processing incoming European orders, maintaining direct contacts with customers, organising work processes: these are just some of the activities that can be perfectly mastered through a 3-week training followed by 3 weeks of mentoring. The basic condition is proficiency in a European language.
Through the continuous trainings and in-house courses one can quickly develop at the SC. With the necessary motivation in place, one can become a trainer, mentor, or even system expert within the group. The special, individualized system of recognitions allows continuous feedback, which builds on the basic principles of our company: respect and honesty.
“You will find friends here, not just co-workers,” members of the team say. On the basis of many years of experience we are convinced that work is also more efficient if there is good rapport between the colleagues. To create this, in addition to the everyday harmonious work, we also pay much attention to regular shared activities, such as hiking, wine tasting, Halloween parties and other team-building activities.
